Chaos

This was written for a friend who was going through a very rough time. This was my attempt to make him feel more like a person and less like a target

You are a complex creature

A riddle that I do not understand

Filled to the brim with difficulty

Anxious, awkward and snarled in chaos

 

A situation looming

You are crippled by the thought of it

Fragmented and broken you are unable to move forward

A soul beaten, yet refuses to yield

 

Feeling alone and detached

Calling yourself weak

But those who care for you would disagree

 

Writhing between pain and suffering

Tormented by the past

Consumed by what could come next

 

Incapable of peace

You take solace in little

 

Find comfort in that which surrounds you

Your friends….

You are loved

You are cared for

You are important

To us

 

You are not alone

Though it may feel like it

Know that your friends are always there for you

To lean on

To play with

Or to just sit with

 

Have faith that one day very soon

It will be okay

I like the upbeat tempo of emotion in this one, It feels hopeful, caring. It feels like good advice, i like last 3 stanzas best.
