Diving

Diving

A Poem by Jen Marie

In my current condition

My nose whistles

During sharp sniffles

My only form

Of entertainment now

You don’t hear it

Or anything anymore

Without adding your own

Interpretation or reason

Which is always off

Sometimes when I say kick

I really mean kiss

But not today

You always hear more

When nothing is said

Diving head first

Into three inches of water

Will give you a broken neck

Instead of an insight

To the depths of the pool

But all I need

Or want to say to you

Whether you hear it or not

Can only be heard one way

The end
