Scratch That

Scratch That

A Poem by Jen Marie

 I love you

I need you

Scratch that

I want you

To hold me

To kiss me

honestly

To be on top of me

Be nearer

Be charming

Screw that

Be hot

I'll be waiting

I'll be pining

Never mind that

I'll be alone

Find me

Take me

More importantly

Love me

Few words, but tons of emotions.

I like that Jen!
Good stuff!

Inner conversations get to the point in a hurry if whats in gets let out. I like that aspect of this poem the most. Your poem is about the heart and the heart of the matter.

A woman. What she wants builds--and then changes. "You know how complex women are." She's confused by the passion, then finally admits that love is paramont even though she asks to be ravaged!

I like that the indecision in the poem mirrors how a person -- particularly a woman -- feels when he or she is seeking love or acceptance. You don't have the right words. You hesitate. I love having that in a poem. Kudos.

Oh, I love this. I like the idea of saying it one way and then going ...actually.... and saying something more intense. It builds that way. Well done.

Obviously a very passionate poem, keep up the good work.
