this happened to me during a very frustrating writers block

 What do you write

When all words 

Escape you? 

When Ideas Run dry

 and all you 

can put together

is nonsense? 

leaving it all behind

seems nice

and simple

but something holds you. 

what sounds good? 

Nothing

ever

pages and pages

book upon book 

is filled with inked nothing

written forms 

of mental finger paintings 

premature and raw

so you scribble 

and scratch 

until your pen 

goes dry 

and the drought

causes you to give up 

to give in 

to nothing

and do you sit

and accept

nothing
