SiobhanA Poem by JenaInspired by Shalott (a song of Emilie Autumn)
Walking in the courtyard
Siobhan found a rose Look - she said to his guard But she was all alone She sat down in the grass And tried to remember Last night she was in dungeon Just she and a little ember Why was I down there? She couldn't recall And then her mind flared Out of blue all appeared A shadow covered The late spring sunlight A man was standing there Find me at night I'll be waiting at the pond Siobhan couidn't see his face But she knew this was a bond She searched for rose But it vanished He took it - she thought But she wasn't anguished She wanted to see his face To know who he was The night came, and she knew That night there was no laws He was waiting for her And the rose, in his hands For her was like Easter He gave her the rose I'm Jasper - he said I saw you crying forenoon Don't be afraid Look up, and look at the moon She obeyed him But then she heard Jasper's voice This was just a dream She woke up, and she was still in the dungeon. She was alone, in chains, waiting for salvation. Siobhan didn't know, over her head, within the castle walls, there was a war. A war because of her. Jasper was fighting for her. © 2011 JenaAuthor's Note
