More than anything

More than anything

A Poem by Jen_ma_cat

More than anything
I want an
Opportunity

More than anything
I want to break the daily routine
Of living half dead inside,
Dragging my soul outside my body

More than anything
I want the sensation of danger
Coursing through my body like a speeding highway
I want my heart to beat
Beat
Beat

More than anything
I want to see the beauty in the world
Unseen depths and caverns
Hidden from those who are too scared
To step out their own front doors

More than anything
I want to show them
Show the ones who told me "never will" and "never can"
The ones who told me to stop dreaming
Taking the color from my world
And added it too their own

But color will fade away over time
And so do people
But never dreams

So, more than anything
Much more than anything
I want an opportunity
The opportunity
To
Live

About
Well I guess I'm a junior now. Am I ready? Ha, no. I don't post often, only when I feel inspired. I'm 16 years old and I might be the only 16 year old on the planet who wishes they weren't. I like art.. more..
