Just a squished soda can

Just a squished soda can

A Poem by Jen_ma_cat

Stop it
Your dressed up lies
Pity comments
I get it already
Stop it
Because your wrong

Because
I'm not tall or athletic
I'm like a squished soda can
My eyes don't shimmer when the light catches them just right
My eyes are the color of dirt

I know what you want
Lies in return
I won't give them to you
I hate playing this game of make believe
Because your pretty

Because
Your long slender legs and toned body
Aren't mine
Your eyes that capture the sky in a blink
Aren't mine either

Because I'm a soda can
and you're
A refreshing bottle of water

Stop it
You dressed up lies
Pity comments
I get it already
Iv'e already come to terms with myself
I'm not pretty

About
Well I guess I'm a junior now. Am I ready? Ha, no. I don't post often, only when I feel inspired. I'm 16 years old and I might be the only 16 year old on the planet who wishes they weren't. I like art.. more..
