Hunger

Hunger

A Poem by Jen

Like a wild thing it claws from the inside out
Scratching at you
Bleeding with ecstasy
Longing sensual caress
You whisper "Just this one taste, maybe it's real"
Like a drug addict poking needles
You lie to yourself again and again

Feeling the head-on collision
memory snaps you back
Lust is a hungry thing you can only
keep fed a short time
The hunger pain will surely start again
You know its not love that you need to feed
If it were love...

You both would be full
