Heart Strings

Heart Strings

A Poem by Jen

I am lifeless until you touch my heart

I dance for your smile as it tugs at my strings

My spinning pirouette gracefully executed, as you said "I love you"

I am still, waiting here once more for your words to move my heart

Here in my stationary solitude, I wait to be moved into life once more

Waiting for your touch...that one touch that leads to my heart

Often it almost hurts
when this occurs with the heart
because you miss them if you've
not spoken to them in so long.

The heart is a fragile piece
as it must be shielded and protected
always as mines gotten hurt so much
so I keep it protected and wrapped in
God's armour as we must shield our hearts.

Nicely painted to the page.

Thank you for sharing.

I agree with misery
Great work.

God bless. Benita

Vulnerability, honesty, sadness. But hope because you can still be moved into life and you are willing to wait.

Well done. Elegant, fragile.
