SilenceA Poem by JenI can no longer hear your voice It use to echo in my thoughts There is only silence that swallows everything I was begging for a pin to drop Release me from the screaming thoughts that beg for your words Band-Aid my wound of regret with your chorus I beg your whisper in this noiseless place I pound the floor to hear some vibration of your voice I get up standing still as silence covers every inch of me Stiff in surrender to the soundless ache as it soaks my bones I close my eyes and all I hear is thunder A rolling crash of those moments you left behind nothing but silence My crying had no sobbing moan I reach for you now in the darkness of this silence The further I follow your silence the more I feel There in this darkness is your unspoken love Feeling the taste of your kiss I touched the memory of your laugh I reach to pull silence within me Lingering deep in silence a scent of your absent voice I feel the heat as love began to sing my song There in the darkness that silent song you left me You left it there waiting for me to hear it Yearning for me to accept your silence Begging for me to hear with my heart A beat with no rhythm only a silent pounding This silence makes love to me now Warmth is the endless stillness as you cover my being Quite is the wrap of your arms around my body An empty echo of infinite love held by your wordless absence that could only be found in silence An unspoken love I found today as I closed my eyes feeling the peace of silence as you said, I love you © 2015 JenReviews
