Platinum SkiesA Poem by Jennie BaronMy mood is as flat as the platinum skies Of this overcast March day. But it’s merely flat, not sad. Only momentarily uninspired.
I laugh at myself; What colors did I expect, chartreuse and fuchsia? It’s restful, meditative.
Already traces of green dot the brown grass Outside my window And tiny, fragile buds on the trees Hint at the spring soon to come And so I’m hopeful and expectant. © 2014 Jennie BaronFeatured Review
