This is written beautifully, with such clarity that I must read to understand but am able to understand easily through your word choice. Poems inspired by nature are definitely my favorite. Wonderful, especially the first line, just beautiful!
I really liked your reference of "platinum skies"...much better than saying gray. Good work, Jennie...I like "Train", too! ; )

What a fine words expressed so beautifully!
It is very much important to put hope or optimism in such pieces. It leaves reader with the better outlook that they can see beyond negativity.
Perfect. As expressed by these fine words, you have a solid, steady kind of outlook on the world. I, too, have learned to endure the blasé while trying not to beat myself up and biding time till those colors come again.
