"Platinum Skies"
Jennie Baron,
Just periods or seasons, like dormancy waiting to bloom...inspiration feels that way.
"I laugh at myself;
What colors did I expect, chartreuse and fuchsia?
it's restful, meditative."
Yes, I sure can identify with the theme in this poem of yours.
Yet here it comes...inspiration.
I liked this one a great deal!

not sad, just flat....i have had those moods often in the past and everyone keeps asking what's wrong...nothing really, just a lack of excitement about life...and sometimes when i am not writing for a period of time, i get that same feeling.
but i know that spring will come again, and the flowers, trees and my pen will bloom once again.
love this...don't know why i missed it first time around...glad Sami, brought it back up.

This is indeed about lack of inspiration, which I've experienced for quite some time without writing any new poems. I've actually been concentrating on my longer work, which is hardly getting any reads. But you never know when the muse will strike. At least one of my poems is directly borrowed from a fictional scene, so it's possible that will happen again.
Thanks again, and it was good to hear from you. Your poems are always wonderful. I do accept RRs when you come up with new ones; sometimes it's the best way to bring them to my attention.
"Outside my window
And tiny, fragile buds on the trees
Hint at the spring soon to come
And so I’m hopeful and expectant."

Yep. Been on a break. You are welcome...:)...................
Very nice piece of work here. I love the way you ended it with a hope for spring. As we all know, spring is a symbol of a new beginning, brighter days to come and so many more positive things such as hope. And everyone needs hope. Cause hope is what keeps up going long enough for spring to come.
Keep up the good work. Stay inspired.

I may already feel more inspired because the weather here is going to be warm and sunny all weekend, so different from what I describe in the poem. I'm also inspired and gratified if my writing can promote hope! All the best...

I shall try to get to some more of your writing, especially the stories, as I believe I'm more of a fiction writer. Don't hesitate to send me read requests.
Awaiting a blissful spring. That's a well thought epiphany. Great work. A vividly eloquent read. :)

I like the differentiation between flat and sad. My favorite line is "only momentarily uninspired". I was able to relate to this poem. Thank you for sharing :)
