Brilliant!!!! This poem is quite interesting and could have more than one meaning behind the words. You are such an incredible writer Jennie, something I didn't know until the last decade or so that I wish I had known much sooner. Love your work - keep it up!!!!

Jennie Baron,
"Luminous"
I don't of course know just who this poem is about but I inserted my own meaning into it's words.
Strength and hope just filter through; "fire behind the light..warm myself..want to reignite it..light my way and stay within my sight."
The Lord Jesus has been my star......for sure. "With my own North Star. Your glow defined the dark corners of my mind and set my spirit free."
Love this!..........bless you much. Kathy

I didn't set out to make this poem about Jesus, although I am a Christian, and in many ways that interpretation fits. It's about true love, and it's from my novel, some of which is on this site. The MC is a talented musician, and these are lyrics of a song professing his love for his lady. It's one of my few rhyming poems. Bless you in return for reading and reviewing.

Well it is a great start, you should try to finish it.
To me, this was a sentiment of fearlessly adoring and falling in love despite the little hidden secrets! We're all flawed, so what? Take the leap, be brave and ignite ♥
Love your write!💖

Nicely written, the connection with this person shines through, I liked the "luminescent, incandescent" part in the last stanza, it described it so well.

I consider that a compliment coming from someone whose poetry always makes me feel inarticulate. This one is actually a song lyric found in my book, so maybe I should credit my songwriter character. Putting it in poem form I thought would make it more accessible than a novel-length book!
