Too Hard

Too Hard

A Poem by jenbem
"

It's been a (long) while sing I've written anything, and years since I've written a song, but this just kind of came out...it's unedited...I don't know...weird!

"

Don’t sit up and wait for me anymore
I’m not coming around.

It’s too hard to stay here and save you
from myself
When you’re so far gone.

You swear it’s love
It’s so hard to tell you no
(when you don’t know)
You swear it’s love
And it’s just too hard to tell you no.

You’ve never felt this way
And you keep telling me
That you believe
That I am the one

I’m really the one

Who can save your battered soul
And keep you from choking on
the innocence you lost

Well, it all leaves me with a bitter taste
in my mouth
and it’s too hard too wash it out

too hard to wash it out.

You swear it’s love
It’s just so hard to tell you no
(When we don’t know)
You swear it’s love
And it’s just too hard to let you go.

AH i love this. so complex but simply said. it's so weird how things cross our paths--like this completely relates to my life at this moment. so thank you very much for sharing!

Ever listen to the Cardigans? I've got one of their later efforts; it's a winner. Lots of pain, like the verse above.

This was very beautifully said. It would be great in a song!

The best to you and your work.
