I Love Ansel Adams! I studied him in senior photography, he is brilliant. Your poem captures the essence of so many of his photos. I am also a religion student and find God speaks most clearly in those serene natural moments. Face of God- a perfect analogy. In order to be slightly constructive....would "engrave" perhaps be a better word for "web"...it sounds more momentous which would carry the weight of your poem further. Just a thought.
Nothing like the majestic mountains carved by the hand above, a canvass of stone painted in the light of day and the wind of time, a testament to all we believe, clear as midnight in winter.
nice... the first and last stanzas might very well work as two independand haikus. i like the approach to the subject, the perspective of the image stripped down to bare details. the second stanza could use some more work i think, but other than that, very well written. zig
This is amazing, I like his photography also. Ansel Adams is one that inspires my photography as I set the lens out on a romantic vision wanting to capture what my soul feels. His black and white photography is the outline of Gods Eye.
Oh now that was clever. I liked that a lot, how you pulled it full circle so quickly to show the duality of two interpretations of that photograph. Witty and brief--it was a great way to capture a thought in a poem.
