Lesson Learned

Life lesson with God's Assistance...

Thanks be to God, for the gift of another day,

As I awake breathing, the best ever feeling, I then hit my knees and pray,

I don't feel Worthy, but I know You heard me, my life I give for You,

The sticks and stones, and broken bones, I know I'll make it through,

The agony, the suffering, all of this pain, for Your Cause, I know, will never be in vain,

I'll forever stand firm, in Your Word, and Forever Your Love Will Fall Like Rain,

Oh, Alpha and Omega, You Are My Savior, as my life begins to unfurl,

Your message is clear, that through me You'll steer, for to bring your Light to the world,

Even though, You, Father, I have neglected, You never gave up on me and never rejected, instead still love me when I sin,

Holding me tightly, daily and nightly, time and time again,

Why, Oh Lord, did I still struggle to see? Your bigger picture, and ignore Your Scripture, Your instructions lying right in front of me,

Please help me, Yahweh, to abide in what You say, to do what You ask of me,

I should have gave Your mention, the deserved attention, but I was scared, therefore, to hide I tried,

But just like Jonah, consumed by darkness, for my rebellious ways, I'd assumed I died,

That glimpse of "Hell", did serve me well, then, just like that, I was expelled,

I received the lesson, Your Holy blessing, now I am forever changed,

Never again, will Your voice within, EVER be ignored, for You will bless, I must confess, my soul hath been restored!

I will NEVER forget my focus on The Way, The Truth, The Light, for I know now, exactly how, to live for what is right,

Now my only fear, is to not be is near, to You, lost in the darkest night,

You grabbed my hand, said, "Cheer up man!", "This love I have for you, someday you'll understand!"

As I think back, on this learned memory, the love You projected while my faith You corrected, and cleared a path for me!
