Days Change

Days Change

A Poem by Jeff

Once upon a day

Surrounded by pain

Dragged down by this stone

My heart in shambles

With dark days in my future

I thought I'd never see the light again

Funny how life changes one day

When I met you

I didn't know it

But something inside me

Felt it when I saw you for the first time

That smile on your face

The light in your eyes

When I gave you those roses

I knew everything had changed

Staring at you that night

Talking about marriage

Something about you

I can't place

I love the way you make me feel

I love everything about you

it's funny how everything can change in a single day. whether it's walking towards the pos kia or sitting in a church pew...all i know is that this poem captured not only how you felt, but certainly how i felt as well. the feeling of not knowing, but knowing that a major change was taking place is hard to write...but you did so beautifully. thank you.

Jeff, thanks for sharing this with me. I totally 100 % understand every word you have said here. I know that feeling that you are feeling. Sometimes, even saps like us get lucky.
Question? - are you still writing any music? Thanks again Jeff.
