I thought I was strong

I thought I had moved on.

I thought you were firmly planted in the past.

Then I saw it.

And that was all it took.

For someone like me.

Who rarely gets jealous.

To become envious.

That your lips aren't on my cheek.

And now my mind.

Keeps replaying memories.

Of you and me happy like we used to be.

I hear the words we said to one another.

The promises we made.

And now I sit here.

Thinking of us.

Thinking of you.

Wishing I could wrap you in my arms like I used to.

Wishing I could feel your lips one more time.

If I get the chance again.

I'll never let you go.

I'll never let you down.

But if that doesn't happen.

I hope you're happy.

I hope you have everything you need.

And I hope you find love forever.

This is a very honest writing.The words flow with such ease.It is very real..and hence seems like a journal entry yet there is something in the pattern that it sure is poetic.Love is like this ain't it..you want your loved one to be happy and also you want them with you always.
