Behind That Locked Door

Behind That Locked Door

A Poem by Jeff

What more can I say

To unlock your heart

To bring it my way

I've loved you

From the moment

My eyes saw you

I've never loved someone more

So why can't you

Come out behind that locked door

All of the things you've told me

The darkness you've seen

I want to set your heart free

All of the promises I swore

To keep you in my heart

But you sit behind that locked door

when someone has been hurt so much---the doors get locked like an apartment door in a rough area of the Bronx...

it is hard to get that person to open more than the peephole...

been like this...and have been with people like this...one whose birthday is the same as the date this poem was posted.
