Away from the Light

Away from the Light

A Poem by Jeff

A darkness swirls

Within my head

Seeping into my thought process

A darkening envelopes

My vision

Clouding my eyes

I reach out to a light

That is slowly

Slipping further away from me

A numbness creeps

Into my skin

I'm slipping away

I can really relate to what you've described here. I feel this very well.

~ it's an extremely tough and complex emotion to express... but you've done so brilliantly... ~ and...i do fear it... it's like an endless tunnel and one has to work very hard to get out of it...

Such a powerful narration of inbound darkness....
An inevitable ending seen and experienced first-hand and described perfectly.
Great expression and wording sir. Thanks.
