Sonnet 30

Sonnet 30

A Poem by Jeff Miller

My mind is already preoccupied!

Alas,  my poetic thoughts will not flow

I cannot live without you; Damn my pride!

It does not matter, you already know.

Without you I have no inspiration,

I cannot write without your influence,

It results in mindless perspiration,

Everybody else is a nuisance.

But, thank God, soon you, my love, will be back,

And, once again, our love will fill my thoughts,

And I can finally get back on track,

And I will finally not be distraught.

I will get back what I always wanted

My true love, and no longer be haunted.

How I know these feelings well!!
Nicely expressed through Sonnet.
