Sonnet 13 (Shakespearean Style)

Sonnet 13 (Shakespearean Style)

A Poem by Jeff Miller

I’m wondering who it is that I am?

What is the reason to which I was born?

According to the Chinese, I am a ram

I’m a powerful ram that wears two horns.

I do not need somebody to tell me

Who I was, and also, who I will be

Alas, my poetic spirit roams free,

Who I am is something you can’t just see.

But, that is something that I can show you;

You can’t see who I am with just your eyes

Alas, to myself I am always true

I think myself more than the normal guy.

  Who is it I am? I am simply me,

  The one who can be all I want to be.
