Sonnet 12 (Shakespearean Style)

Sonnet 12 (Shakespearean Style)

A Poem by Jeff Miller

There shan’t be a day I am never yours

‘Cause no force could separate me from you

I would venture to the farthest shores

It would not matter how hard the winds blew.

There is no woman or act of nature

That could make my true love wander away

Life is my malady and you’re the cure

You are why I wake up every day.

But, these horrid “women” do still attempt

To commit the ultimate lover’s crime

Alas, all they seem to show is contempt

But I am yours until the end of time.

We shall have a picture perfect lifetime

Beautiful, the heart to which mine doth rhyme.
