Sonnet 2 (Shakespearean Style) ALTERNATE

Sonnet 2 (Shakespearean Style) ALTERNATE

A Poem by Jeff Miller

Thou art the queen of my beating heart

Thou reigns over my very own pure emotions

Alas, Thou plucked my heart’s strings from the start

The Fates hath set ev’rything in motion;

Thou art the One master of mine own soul

Tis our own moment to be together

The bell hath tolled, tis beyond our control

We shall be titled two flocks of a feather.

But, we shant be two lonesome birds of prey

Thou shant be lowered to such a level

If so, they shall have a debt to repay

He would always be known as a devil.

With my work, let me breathe life in to thee

So you shall be known an eternity.

Author's Note

This was the beginning to Sonnet 2 (Shakespearean Style), until I decided I went off topic and the strength of this piece was lost, so I erased the last 10 lines and started over, so I could finish Sonnet 2 (Shakespearean Style).

writing in archaic style is very difficult. The tenses are extremely difficult to do
Thees and thous tend to be misplaced
But I give you top marks for trying
