Waiting for the Thunder

Waiting for the Thunder

A Poem by Jeff Miller
"

My second poem directed at my crazy ex-girlfriend who is stalking me and my betrothed girlfriend.

"

Things are falling asunder

The lightning has struck

Now I’m waiting for the thunder

I wonder if I have any luck

I feel like I am now living a life of burden

So much drama, so many problems, so many issues

This shan’t be excused with a pardon

All I need is to be with you

Let’s try to keep ignoring her

She’s as nasty as chocolate milk

That you haven’t had a chance to stir

If she were a piece of clothing she wouldn’t be made of silk

Nor cotton

She would be lucky to be considered a reed

Forsooth, she is rotten

In society’s garden she is a weed

She is an ignorant child

With people she seems to have no education

From our lives she has been exiled

If life was a class she would be in remediation

We know how wicked she is and of her evil ways

So, let’s not let her destroy our fairy tale days

I cant feel for the story because i dont kno to wat severity you call you x insane or what she is like but saying that the story is imbeded in the tale the want to be with the one you love but the hinderance this other female is causing, the pain and needs clearly painted across teh words another great read for me today they seem common tonight i am pleased with my midnight reading x

Personally, I think it's very harsh but then again, I have no idea what kind of hell you've probably went through because of said ex. It's amazing how this poem is both a declaration of hatred and love. The irony is fascinating.

Keep Writing. ^___^

I agree. Its hard to understand the way you feel about this girl. It needs more explaination to it.

Amazing. Ex's can be a pain sometimes. But eventually she will find someone else to torture and leave you and your current girlfriend alone. Good luck. Great write.

Hmm...I like the emotion portrayed in this piece, though I would like a better explanation of the situation woven into this. Other than that, nice work. ^^

Sometimes break-ups bring out the worst in people, they can't accept the relationship is over, it can be worse when there is a new someone. Nice job describing the frustrations of someone unable or unwilling to let go.
