Groundhog DayA Poem by Jeff MillerThis assignment was given to us after we watched the movie 'Groundhog Day' with Bill Murray. I don't think this one is particularly goodImagine a life of previous continuation In which, you never will see new creation You will not gain any experience Your life would be an eternal moment in which you reminisce You relive every twinge of pain And you realize there is no longer anything to gain You relive every moment With no consequence to your dissent BUT You feel all your old joy Relive all the moments where nothing could annoy You, because you were in the best mood And from your face a smile protrudes You get to always be with the one you love Never worry about them being sent to heaven above Yes, everything would be familiar But nothing again would be peculiar Your outlook on life would be changed All your priorities would be rearranged Maybe change some of your mistakes And let good deeds replace All the moments your will was weak With moments you weren’t scared to speak So…would this really be a curse? Since you and your loved ones would never ride in a hearse? © 2010 Jeff Miller |
