Best I Ever Had

Best I Ever Had

A Poem by Jeff Miller
"

This is a sonnet, without meter

"

My head turns to the sky and gazes at the stars

It reminds me of your beautiful face

All traces of women from my past have been swept away, invisible…not even a scar

I smile and know that I am now in the perfect place

Where I shall be from now until eternity

I was born for you

I know it will always be you and me

You are my dream come true

I’m your prince and you’re my perfect princess

Finding your love was my goal

With you I found success

We discovered that we are joined through our souls

I had to tell you how glad

You make me, and you’re the best I ever had
