There Once Lived A Woman

There Once Lived A Woman

A Poem by Jeff Miller
"

We had to do a quick write with the prompt "There once lived a woman" in one of my creative writing classes. I think this is silly...and not very good at all

"

There once lived a woman

Who was entirely fed up with fads

She didn’t like ghosts; she didn’t like wizards, nor vampires, nor their covens

Her heart was cold, you see, her child had no dad

He left on a journey, obsessed with the occult

But he would never come back

Since he died from a paranormal assault

So it was a father her child did lack

Old Miss Muffet sat down to enjoy her curds and whey

Regressing to childhood memories

Thinking to way back in the day

When her problems were so easy to see

Her only problem was this dark, friendly spider

That needed a friend and sat down beside her…
