A Poem by Jeff Miller

Signals

They often become mixed

Mixed up in the atmosphere of our environment

Mixed up in our eyes

In our actions

In our jokes

What do you want?

Is it really that hard to decide?

And to make that decision known?

Instead of occasionally sending me hints

Followed by strong stop signs

There is no speed limit on our road of love

So why do I always feel like there are bumps?

Bumps that cause me to slow

Slow down and come to a halt

Is anyone truly at fault?

I don’t know the answers to my own questions

You talk about it all the time

Tell me you want it all the time

Tell me you NEED it

Act like you want it

Act like you need it…

Some are jokes

Others are not

But…I don’t know how to decipher

Decipher the code

Decipher your code…

Of our love road
