Sonnet (1/3/2010)

A Poem by Jeff Miller
"

Ignore meter....I don't find that syllables of a line make a huge difference to poetry...

"

You fight for what was once yours

What was once yours is now mine

You had your own lottery, the big score

Instead you let her go and threw away nearly three years’ time

Now you speak words

But actions are louder

So it doesn’t matter what she heard

Every word you speak…it does not matter

I prove myself in what I do

So far I am the BEST

Instead of speaking words that are untrue

So excuse me, if I’m not very impressed

I don’t need a diabolical plan

To prove that I am the better man

I used to be good friends with this guy that dated my girlfriend for almost 3 years and I heard that he was talkin shit about me behind my back just to try and get her back. I guess he doesn't get that she's with me not him...so obviously she doesn't wanna be with him.
