Sonnet (1/3/2010)A Poem by Jeff MillerIgnore meter....I don't find that syllables of a line make a huge difference to poetry...You fight for what was once yours What was once yours is now mine You had your own lottery, the big score Instead you let her go and threw away nearly three years’ time Now you speak words But actions are louder So it doesn’t matter what she heard Every word you speak…it does not matter I prove myself in what I do So far I am the BEST Instead of speaking words that are untrue So excuse me, if I’m not very impressed I don’t need a diabolical plan To prove that I am the better man © 2010 Jeff MillerAuthor's Note
