The Last Leaf

The Last Leaf

A Poem by Jeff Miller
"

I started writing this poem 2 and a half months ago and finished it 11/24/2009. Probably not so good, because I usually hate not finishing a poem at once because it jambles up your original thoughts.

"

I see the last leaf fall

I hear the last bird's call

Autumn is upon us

Shortly it will be winter

Grab my hands, look in my eyes, you know it's me you can trust

You are a splinter

Because you have become a part of my blood

You quickly arrived at your destination: my heart

It seems impossible that this relationship is just about to start

Very unique description of love and the pains of infactuation I believe. As the seasons change.. this person flows deeper into your heart.. yet seemingly impossible .. this could mean having very high hopes but fearing and in doubt. This person must mean alot to you if you are thinking of them through more than one season.. I sure hope it works out for you!
