Seperation Sonnet

Seperation Sonnet

A Poem by Jeff Miller

Right here, right now, I am beginning to feel separation anxiety
Separated by an ignorant teacher
In alphabetical order, I feel like an outcast in society
People shouldn’t be labeled by names, just like poetry shouldn’t be measured by meter
Who cares if our last names are different? Is that a just cause?
A just cause to tear and twist us apart?
An excellent poem, the author not concerned with meter, was labeled with flaws
Every word though, speaks for the heart
Every word has a meaning
Every word is true
It is connected to a variety of feelings
Do not separate me; do not rip away our glue
I need her next to me
For that is the way it was meant to be

It is a bit ambiguous. Sporadic in its content and message.

This is a very expressive piece here and such emotion. I think it is well expressed. I think it sounds fine.

This piece is probably not very good, I feel like the topic changes and moves, and it was a quick write in class.
