Sonnet 4

Sonnet 4

A Poem by Jeff Miller
"

This sonnet is my first attempt to follow a rhyme scheme. Let me know what you think.

"

I see you from across the room
It is impossible not to stare
For your beauty is greater than roses in bloom
Your supple skin is so fair
Your stunning eyes are brown
You seem to always smile
Very rarely does your face frown
I’m in love with you, even though I’m in denial
You’re the perfect height
You have amazing style
You have no reason to be contrite
Just looking at you drives my wild
All this evidence provides a clear verdict
In my eyes you are perfect
