I see you, not just you, but the real you

This poem will not be another clue

This poem will reveal all and express

Once you read this you won’t have to second guess

When our eyes meet our souls connect

This emotion I feel is different than the rest

It’s a brand new one, a completely different sect

When we talk I feel joy

I can feel that you care and I’m not just a decoy

My mind wanders with a sub-conscience purpose

It continues to wander, stopping only once it reaches you

I no longer know what’s true

All I’m sure of is how you make me feel

Like I’m invincible and my skin is made of steel

I lay awake each and every night

The possibility of the future and multiple other thoughts keep me up

Images of my hope play in my head like a movie

I wish you saw yourself through my eyes

Add up all the stars in the sky

Now take that and use the oceans to multiply

That equals only a fraction of what you mean to me

No other girl could interfere

So let this make it clear

What I say is true
