InspirationA Poem by Jeff MillerWe all have our own aspirations But none of them are able to come true without inspiration Something intrudes our mind, our very spirit, that aggressively motivates our actions Lately, I find that it's you that penetrates my membrane and removes some of the cobwebs that Black Widow left inside my mind Some say my writing is sagacious But, to me, those claims are outrageous It's just the inspiration you instill in me Not just the thoughts of we and meant to be's You make the gray from my skies fade Replaced by vivid, opulent pastels...the sorrow committed suicide Leaving only hope and joy, what a superior trade You are helping my dreams become realized Suddenly the intangible rewards have materialized I am starting to feel big Not big as in weight or size...but colossal As if every piece I write is essential and monumental I only hope that this euphoric feeling will remain And to take each praise as if it was a grain
