Doubts and Fears (Septem Versus 6)

I haven't truly written poems in almost 2 and a half years. This is expressing fear that I won't be as good as I used to be.

It has been too long;

So long it feels wrong.

Has it been 2 years?

Filled with doubts and fears

Am I good enough?

Can I still get cheers?

Have I lost the stuff?

Author's Note

I created this new style of poetry in 2010 when I was thinking about sonnets and how the 10 syllables and 14 lines are supposed to create a square. So I decided to try out 7 lines with 5 syllables with the rhyme scheme A-A-B-B-C-B-C. I call it "Septem Versus" because that means seven lines in latin.
