Year One (Sonnet 36)

Year One (Sonnet 36)

A Poem by Jeff Miller
"

Sonnet written to celebrate our first year of marriage

"
They all say the first year is the hardest
They all say it's a struggle at our age
Distance? Our love can travel the farthest
As it writes on our future, our pages.
We have had our highs and have had our lows
But became stronger through our challenges
Stick together, no matter what life throws
'Til the very sands of time vanishes.
Love and life have become an adventure
Showing anything can be possible
As long as our souls can be together
We can celebrate every annual.
For only one year you have been my wife,
But now and always you will be my life.
