We Don't Know What Side We're On

We Don't Know What Side We're On

A Poem by JediMobius

Slow going, can’t keep up
too much at stake, yet not enough
These actions beckon common sense
to jump across the fence and step
into the yard of discontinued slang
where language’s domain
is challenged daily
the words are dying, at least free to reign

So don’t you be ashamed
if you won’t let your mind be tamed
but be amazed at all the commonplace
conundrums open minds create
where understanding was before
holes between the edges form
that threaten to transform
the box til it becomes reborn
