Just been thinking about family and the importance of them in my life

Family

Family is the inter-workings of our favorite book

The nearly forgotten pages of you

Stories you’ve heard a thousand times

Starting with “You remember when you”

and quick rebuttal “how bout the time you”  

A constant trying to one up the other

But ending always the same way

A laugh, a smile, and a closeness

 

Family is a bond that can not be broke

our history in fleshed

Whether the memories are good or bad

They are responsible for who we have become

The way we see the world

and the way we are able to love one another

 

From a Mother’s magical kiss

that was able to make even the worst wound feel better

To a Father’s strength

Where there was no place safer then in his arms

And Sibling’s devotion

Shared secret that remains secret even still today

These are small parts that come together to make a family

 

As we get older and travel our own paths

There is always something we each carry with us

Our family and the lessons we learned

Unfortunately we to often don’t appreciate them until their gone

So I ask you to stop and think about the ones you love

Because in the end all we have is our family

Finally, a poem about how important family is. So many times in life, family bonds are broke down and our society goes in disarray because of decline of moral values.

Your words flow crisp and smooth throughout the entire piece. You use your descriptive language very well here. At the same time, there is much emotion in each line.

A well-written poem that every family should read and reflect upon.

Glad i stopped by and read this b/c it is very relavent to a lot of deep thought and soul searching i am currently undertaking at this point in my life. I have yet to fully come to a decision on my reflection. I suppose through the bad there was good in who i've become... but the funny part is I have only just begun to realize who i have become. I've only just begun to understand myself and i am at a limbo state. The wheels still turn and I feel things have come to me when i needed to help me along my current journey... this being one of them. I still maintain a positive outlook on what a family could and is meant to be in someones life and you've really tapped that idea of family. I can just tell your words are coming from a great guy with a big heart

There is a lot of heart in this poem and I really felt what you put into it. I enjoyed the symbolism in the first stanza--it looked like you put a lot of thought into the wording. I would try to extend that symbolism throughout the rest of the poem to give it a bit more depth. Other than that, just focus on the spelling :) Good job, overall... a really nice poem.

Family is wonderful, this is one amazing write here. I try to spend time with my family while I can, This is wonderful and heartfelt.
