Oil

Oil

A Poem by Robert Luna
"

These are my thoughts and opinions. Bush is almost out of office but we are still screwed.

"
Building sand castles to the blue skies
Oceans apart drawing battle lines
Two bullies on the same playground
Trying to push one another down
watching the crowd gather 'round
pointing fingers, laying blame
Nothing attracts a crowd like a crowd
and a fight

It doesn't matter whos right
or even who throws the first blows
All this being based on lies
Misery unfolds
Watching our brothers and sisters die
In search of the devils flesh
black gold, Texas tea
Fill it up and let's go for a ride
As THE MAN screams wheres your countrys pride
Looking around seeing children living on the street
and never having enough to eat
I cant help but to feel sad on the inside

Asking What were their war crimes
being born it would seem
One Nation Under God
I would rather be damned
Than be in a heaven ruled by greed
One Nation.One Nation
Oh what abomination
A nation ruled by terrorism itself
The battle is over
But the war has just begun
Left with the mess
of two pricks
f*****g the same land

Great piece. I'm afraid we are more than screwed. It will be God vs Allah..and it will be of a biblical nature. I feel it. Rain

one nation/abomination is the best part for me. the little bully/bigger bully theme works really well. Maybe oil is worse than heroin...with the the seven sisters playing the role of... I wonder how the bullies would feel if ALL the dead bodies were piled up in a giant heap and they had to bury them one by one, personally. And I agree with you damnation would be better than bully's heaven.

I agree, we are indeed screwed no matter who gets in there. but you can almost bet it will be mcCain and he is already stating his agreements with bush's left over policies. so what does it matter if bush's are out. evil is still in. and hell the bush family and all their evil cohorts made 9 trillion dollars. oh wait, didn't you know? that is the amount of money unaccounted for in the budget reports that were lost/destroyed in the falling of tower 7 during 9-11. you know, the only tower NO PLANE hit, but it fell like the twin towers. STRAIGHT DOWN!

people who buy their crap will live in their crap and eat their crap forever. wake up people.

great job Robert! loved this.

I honestly think at this point is doesn't matter who gets in office or who gets out, everything is too far gone to fix completely and the only way to get through it all is to find the end of the road but unfortunately the road in which we have taken there are no short cuts. The piece was sad but all too true, the world, not only our country is falling apart. I live in the city and every day I see ten year olds walking around smoking cigarettes and taking drugs and even sometimes running around with guns. It's sad to know this is what it's all coming to but sometimes we need to take a step back and ask ourselves what can we do instead of putting the blame on everyone else.

Great piece.

I can see it through your words. 2 kids fighting it off in the sandbox, while others watch. All over a coveted toy. It is not even who is right or who is wrong, it is all about who can beat the other kid and claim the prized possession.

A powerful piece and a good read.
