slow love

slow love

A Poem by Jessica Danielle

Am I slowly,
falling, falling, falling?
Back into that thing called love?
I feel this old but new feeling swelling in my chest.
A sort of fleeting feeling, like butterflies.
Am I falling in love with him?
Already?
Should I approach it like a deer approaching water?
Should I open up my heart to him?
Am I ready for this?

This is quite nice. I am usually biased against younger writers because their work seems always to be angsty, whiney, woe is me stuff, which in and of itself isn't bad, but needs to be done with great attention to craft.

You write above your "age grade" young lady.
