Dreams

Dreams

A Poem by Jessica Danielle

When I close my eyes, and the sleep sets in, I wish, a million times over again.
Dreams.
Dizzyingly, wonderful dreams.
How you take me into your grasp.
Oh how I giggle and gasp.
Just last night, I drank tea with the Mad Hatter.
Oh how we had, a wonderful, wonderful chatter.
And then, I said goodbye and I took a ride, on the express line.
It dropped me off in front of a mighty castle.
With mighty windows, and beckoning laughter.
I step through the doors, and what do you know.
I find Repunzle, sitting at her high tower window.
Filled with glee, I take a great leap out the window.
I land on the back of a giant black widow.
Then she ate me, gobbled me up.
I woke up screaming.
I thought I was fucked.

Just a poem off the top of my head. It doesnt make much sense. I thought it would turn out different...but obviously, it didnt.

This is so cute how the wonderful fairy tales turn into a nightmare in the end. Dreams can be such funny ways of our subconscious sorting out our problems and allowing us to vent them. I rather enjoyed this poem. the flow was so smooth.
