Dolls

Dolls

A Poem by Jessica Danielle

Vulgar.
Nasty.
Horrible.
Disrespectful.
That's all you are.
Nothing more.
You're a terrible person.
Rotten too.
That's all you.
You take people apart and put them back together the way you want.
You act like people are a play thing.
A toy.
A puzzle.
You wretched person you.
You have no heart.
Just a heartless black pit, where your heart was meant to be.
But through all this, you have been glorious.
Like a greek god, or goddess.
But your beauty does not atone for your sins.
It never has,
And it never will.
We are not your rag dolls.
Not simple things to play with.
One day your creations will rise against you, and defeat you.
You'll be taken apart.
Never to be put back together.
Unfixable.
