Lonely Love

Lonely Love

A Poem by simpleromantic

Where are you?
What are you doing?
Today is a bit longer than yesterday.
Thoughts of you have switched my nights and days.

Wherever you are.
Whatever you are doing.
Even when tomorrow comes.
We can’t meet, like night and day.

You and I,
It’s like an unsolvable problem.
It’s so strange, sometimes it is unknown.
Just like what we are.

It’s okay, even if I can’t talk to you.
It’s okay, even if I can’t reach you.
It’s okay, even if I can’t love you.
It’s okay, even if I’m not the right one.

Love is what I do alone.
Though I desperately want,
Though I hope,
My love can’t come true.

My difficult, foolish love.
Yes, I like you.
Even if I have to look at you from behind alone.
This heart of mine can see you, my lonely love.

Can I hug you just once?
Can I say my last goodbye?
Someday, when we meet again.
Let’s not say goodbye.
