First Winter Without My Wife

First Winter Without My Wife

A Poem by Johnnyb1
"

This will be the first winter I have to face alone, without my dear wife Helen

"
Out side my door the wind blow cold leaves turning brown soon to fall from trees to lay autumn cold on the ground with summer nearly at an end
Soon the trees all laid bare as if they
dead
Nothing to do but stay Indoor try to beat the winter chills with snow and Ice on the way no wife here now to keep me warm
no more to reach for hand or kiss her lips
for now I have to face this winter all alone
without my true by my side
