Alone

Alone

A Poem by JB Esquire
"

An introspective look

"

As I walk alone in through this life
I find that as my friends come and go
I loose a little bit of my soul
Because I can be selfish and out of control

I do and say things that are thoughtless
My mind can be bottomless
I put up my wall
And act like nothing can hurt me at all
I brush people aside
And walk my egocentric stride

Though it is all just a put on
I find that I am now long gone
From former lovers and friends
Whom I lost in the end

I carry all my hurt inside
And bury my pride
In a sleeve of pain
As I start all over again
