Astray

Today I fell,

fell away from the world

without a soul in sight 

drifting from the light

Surrounded by stars

fading and pulling at my heart

taking it for their own

to try to piece back together

Now left in the darkness

the loneliness consuming

what was left of a mind

gone astray
