If I Ruled The World

If I Ruled The World

A Poem by Jazmine Devine

If I ruled the world
there'd be no lies
there'd be no pain
no one would die
no one would cry
silently in the night
No girl would have to be afraid
of all these stupid fights.
In this kingdom
that I rule
no one can ever
be so cruel
Things will all end peacefully
and even though it will rain
no one will stand around
and hide in their shame

ridding horses
through the night
flying with wings
in the light
Never worrying
about all the hate
Never worrying
about being late

Even though we'll love
there will be no break
never will feel
our hearts ache
In this life
there will be a forever
between everyone
who's together

Could you imagine
a world like this
could you imagine
this sweet bliss
In this world I made
could we all stay
In this world of my own
that's so far away

"their will be no break" should be "there..."

I like how you grouped it into stanzas of eight lines.
I enjoyed the repetition, and you didn't make the mistake of going overboard on repeated lines. Well done.

Something to consider.
You could be more consistent. Have two repeated lines in each stanza in the same place. But you don't have to choose that format. Just something to consider.
