"you dont ask a lost man for direction", I said,

The answer i was hit with?

"Yeah maybe you don't; but if you do ask,

maybe he'll tell you which way you shouldn't go,

as he might have already tried that way".

this one was a conversation between me and someone close to me; so if i wanted to portray what i had spoke with someone how should i do it any tips for me writers?
